Run your Ghost blog from Claude or ChatGPT.

Every plekje has a built-in AI connector. Add one address to your assistant, sign in once, and ask it to write, publish and look after your site — no API keys, no code, nothing to install. It works on every Claude plan, including Free.

What you can ask

Your assistant can read and change posts, pages, tags, members, newsletters, images and site settings on every plekje in your account. A few things people ask:

  • “Draft a post about our spring workshop from these notes, add the tag “events” and save it as a draft.”
  • “Publish yesterday's draft and send it to the newsletter.”
  • “Which of my posts from last year had no feature image? Add suitable ones from these links.”
  • “How many members signed up this month, and who are they?”
  • “Rename the “Misc” tag to “Notes” and move the navigation link for About to the end.”
  • “Change the site description to something shorter and friendlier.”

Connect Claude (web, desktop and mobile)

Takes about two minutes. You need a Plek.je account with a plekje, and a Claude account on any plan.

  1. Open Connectors in Claude

    In Claude on the web, desktop or mobile, open Customize, then Connectors.

  2. Add a custom connector

    Click "+" (or "Add custom connector"). Give it the name Plek.je.

  3. Paste the Plek.je address

    Enter https://plek.je/mcp as the MCP server URL. If Claude asks how it should identify itself, keep "Use Claude's published identity". Leave client ID and secret empty.

  4. Connect and sign in

    Click Add, then Connect. A Plek.je window opens: sign in with the account that owns your plekje.

  5. Choose what Claude may do

    Plek.je shows exactly what Claude asks for. Untick changes if you only want it to read, then click Allow.

  6. Use it in a chat

    In a new chat, open "+" → Connectors and make sure Plek.je is switched on. Then just ask, for example: "List my plekjes" or "Draft a post about…".

Good to know
  • On the Free plan you can add one custom connector. Plek.je counts as that one.
  • On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector under Organization settings → Connectors first; everyone then connects it for themselves.
  • Connectors are per chat: if Claude says it has no Plek.je tools, switch the connector on under “+” → Connectors.
  • Claude asks before running anything that changes your site. You can set tools to “Always allow” in the connector's settings.

Claude Desktop extension

Prefer an extension in Claude Desktop instead of a custom connector (for example because your Free plan's connector slot is taken)? Download the Plek.je extension and open it: Claude Desktop installs it with one click. The first time it is used, your browser opens to sign in to Plek.je, exactly as above.

Add the connector once from your terminal, then run /mcp inside Claude Code to sign in.

ChatGPT and other assistants

The same address works in any app that can add a remote MCP server with sign-in (OAuth). No client ID or secret is needed: apps register themselves.

  1. ChatGPT: open Settings → Apps & Connectors, create a new connector (on plans where custom connectors are available, this may sit under Advanced → Developer mode), paste the address, choose OAuth, and sign in to Plek.je when asked.
  2. Cursor, VS Code and others: add an MCP server of type HTTP with the address below; the app opens Plek.je in your browser to sign in.

What it can reach, and how to stop it

You decide
When you connect, Plek.je shows exactly what the app asks for. Reading and changing are separate: untick changes and it can only look. It never sees your password.
A visible staff user
Inside each site the assistant works as a staff user called “Plek.je assistant”. You can see it under Settings → Staff in your Ghost admin, and suspend it there.
Disconnect any time
Your account page lists every connected app with a Disconnect button, which works at once. To remove access to one site only, use Assistant access in that plekje's Advanced settings. Plek.je never uses your writing to train AI (privacy policy).

Questions

Does this work on the free Claude plan?
Yes. Custom connectors work on every Claude plan. Free accounts can add one custom connector, so Plek.je can be that one.
What can the assistant change on my site?
Posts, pages, tags, members, newsletters settings and your site's look and navigation — whatever you allow on the consent screen. It cannot delete your site, change your plan or read your password.
How do I take access away?
Open your Plek.je account page and click Disconnect next to the app. To remove access to just one site, use Assistant access in that plekje's Advanced settings, or suspend the "Plek.je assistant" staff user in your Ghost admin.
Which assistants work?
Claude (web, desktop, mobile and Claude Code), ChatGPT and any other app that can add a remote MCP server with sign-in. It is the same address for all of them.
Is my writing used to train AI?
Plek.je never uses your content to train anything. What the assistant you connect does with it is between you and its provider; check their data settings.
It says it couldn't connect
Check the address has no typo and starts with https. If Claude connects but a tool says your site is paused or not online, start it from your plekjes. Still stuck? Email support@plek.je — a person will answer.
